Refunds and cancellation

Cancel from the Polar customer portal — the link is in the receipt Polar emailed you. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your credential keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the entitlement check turns it off after that.

There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and nothing to ask us for first.

If you are within fourteen days of your first payment and Jackdaws has not been useful to you, email us and we will refund that payment in full. You do not have to justify it, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

After that first period the subscription is charged monthly in advance and renewal payments are not routinely refunded — cancelling stops the next one rather than reversing the last. Two exceptions, and we apply them without argument: a renewal you did not intend and have not used, and a period where the service was substantially unavailable or broken.

Polar Software Inc. is our merchant of record, so they took the payment and they issue the refund. We authorise it; they process it. The money returns to the original payment method, usually within five to ten business days once Polar has issued it, though the exact timing is your bank’s.

Tax charged on the original payment is refunded with it.

If what went wrong was a lost credential, a client that will not connect, or a tool refusing calls it should have allowed, tell us before you ask for the money — those are usually fixed the same day. We would rather the subscription work than end. The refund stays available either way.

Email hello@hazeleyconsulting.com from the address on the subscription, and say which payment you mean. That is the whole process — there is no form.
